Extension
of Greater Cairo Metro Line 2
Recent
transportation studies showed the importance of extending Line 2
to areas that are densely populated. Accordingly, it was decided
to make an extension of Line 2 , 2.60 km to the south.
This includes the construction of two new at-grade stations,
Sakiat-Mekky and El-Monib stations. The extension is expected to
finish in 2005. |
